At SnoHo, leadership is not just about roles—it’s about responsibility. We recognize that our camp’s culture is shaped most directly by the people empowered to make decisions, guide others, and set the tone.
This Leadership Code of Conduct applies to all campers in organizing roles, coordination leads, or anyone whose actions affect group dynamics and logistics.
1. Model Emotional Maturity
Leaders are expected to model self-awareness, emotional regulation, and humility. This includes:
- Taking accountability for impact, not just intent.
- Receiving feedback without defensiveness.
- Repairing harm quickly and sincerely when it occurs.
2. Maintain Clear, Constructive Communication
Leadership must communicate with clarity and kindness, especially under stress. That includes:
- Avoiding controlling, condescending, or emotionally volatile language.
- Being transparent about decisions and explaining the “why” when appropriate.
- Not weaponizing information or triangulating others to control outcomes.
3. Uphold Group Agreements and Shared Values
Leaders are responsible for:
- Honoring and enforcing the camp’s shared values and boundaries.
- Not bypassing or selectively applying rules based on personal relationships.
