It requires clear norms, accountability, and proactive protection of our campers’ sovereignty and well-being.

This policy applies to all campers, including leadership, and is enforced equally regardless of role, history, or intent.

1. Consent is Clear, Enthusiastic, and Ongoing

• Consent is not implied—it must be actively and freely given.
• “They didn’t say no” is not consent. Anything short of a clear, enthusiastic yes is a no.
• Consent must be ongoing. Previous consent does not justify future assumptions.

2. Unwanted Sexual Energy is Harm

Sexual harm is not always loud or overt. It can look like:

• Persistent flirting or pressure after someone expresses discomfort
• Making sexual or romantic comments without invitation
• Hovering, staring, or creating a sense of being sexually pursued in shared spaces
• Using camp proximity (e.g., tent setup, builds, massage zones) to initiate touch or closeness that wasn’t mutually agreed upon

3. Impact > Intent

We care about how your behavior makes others feel—not just what you intended. If someone says you made them uncomfortable, or if they needed to modify their behavior to feel safe around you, we treat that seriously—whether or not you believe you meant harm.
