Shower Rules

• 10 minutes total per camper for the whole Burn (unless you’re Build Week)
  • Split however you want (e.g., 10 × 1-min or 1 × 10-min)
• Washing long hair discouraged – use a bucket or find a shampoo camp
• Soap: Castile / biodegradable / low foam only (e.g., Dr. Bronners)
• DO NOT:
  • Lose your wristband
  • Pee in the showers
  • Brush teeth in the showers

Shower Operations

SnoHo’s private showers are built by our amazing builders Alex & Taaj & Nick. You use a red wristband to begin and end your session, and the system keeps track of how much time you use. Nick and Alex have the wristbands, so find them in camp or at orientation.

• PLEASE don't lose your wristband!
• To begin your session: Tap your wristband where it says: Tap In/Out ⭐️Here⭐️
• To start and stop the water: Press the button and hold it until the water starts or stops. You can run the water multiple times during your session with the button.
• To end your session: Tap your wristband again where it says: Tap In/Out ⭐️Here⭐️. Ending your session while the water is running also will stop the water and log you out, so all good!
• A display within each stall show’s your water allotment remaining, in minutes and seconds.

Shower Notes

• Showers are officially open Sunday, August 25, 2024.
• Hot water may not be available while the cooling tent is open if the electricity demand is too great.
• Water will be preset to a comfortable temperature.
• The showers will be operational 24/7, however …
• At 8 a.m. each day, the generator will go down for maintenance. Maybe avoid showering then, but if you do and the water slows while you’re in the stall, tap your wristband to out so you don’t get time deducted for “running water” that’s not running fully.
• The displays are a little fickle. If one gets scrambled, shower normally — everything else will work correctly — and let Nick know.
• If you get wild and activate both showers with one wristband, the display will lie to you, but the clock will still count your shower-minutes correctly (and you’ll use them faster).
