Tips and Tricks for Will Call Pickup and ticket stuff in general:
- Once you park in the Will Call lot make sure you have important things with you: ID, credit card/cash(if you need to pay for anything), print out of your ticket confirmation(not mandatory, but can be helpful), mask, googles, and water(you are now on the playa...never know when a dust storm will pop up).
Note: Things you don't need you Early Access Pass(EAP), cigarettes(no smoking in line or near the box office), and a bad attitude(I know you're tired from the drive but you're going to Burning Man).
- You must have YOUR valid government issued ID. If the tickets or vps are in your account under your name, you are the only one who can pick them up. No one else can get them, even if they have your ID with them. And you can't pick anything up for others unless it is in your account, under your name. So, no letting your friend or partner sleep in the car while you try to pick up their stuff, you'll have to go back and wake them up.
- If a ticket or vp has been transferred to you, you need to follow the link in the confirmation email and accept the transfer. If you don't accept the transfer, it is not yours. This is the number one problem we see at Will Call. So double-check that it's in your account at https://here.burningman.org/my-tickets/login.
- If you have transferred anything to someone else, make sure they have accepted it. This way, they don't have a major freak out or think you messed something up. In your account at the link above, you can see if someone has accepted a transfer or not, so make sure they have it before you leave for the Burn.
- We have not heard yet if tickets or vps will be available for sale at Box Office this year, but I will let you know once I heat anything.
- If you have a ticket/vp in hand and you bought from someone else, double-check the void list here, just to be safe: https://tickets.burningman.org/voided-tickets/
- Print out your Early Access Pass for the gate. We DO NOT need it at Will Call, nor can we print it for you. Technology fails, so having it printed as a back up is good in case scanners are having issues reading phone, you forget to download it to your phone/have no signal, or your phone dies on you.
- Keep your ticket, VP, and EAP all together in one safe spot so you can easily find it. It's especially helpful when you're tired from the drive or waiting in line to get in.
- Vehicle passes must be stuck to the inside driver's side lower left corner of the windshield.
- If you have a physical ticket or vehicle pass that you need to transfer to someone else, you can do that at the main box office on your way in, or once you're inside at the airport box office. Please have their name(first and last) and email address ready when you get to the window. Also, make sure they know they are going to have to go in and accept the transfer once it's done.
